Welcome to the 11th Issue of the Modern Day Expert™ Digest
As an online entrepreneur, we not only have SO many hats to choose from in our business, we have to WEAR many of them! We often find ourselves not only responsible for developing strategies (approaches) to achieve the goals in our business, but also rolling up our sleeves to implement tactics (specific actions) required to achieve our goals.
It can be so overwhelming at times, that we often welcome mindless distractions such as scrolling through social media and chasing shiny objects while fooling ourselves that we are "working" and making progress in our business.
It doesn't work that way. (But then, you already knew that , didn't you?!)
Mindless distractions and shiny objects take time away from developing strategies and implementing tactics needed to achieve our goals.
I'd like you to consider the fact that perhaps you are mindlessly scrolling through social media, or chasing shiny objects because you wear so many hats in your business.
When you are unsure of your priorities, or what to do next, you tend to get stuck and welcome unproductive distractions.
I'm reading the book The One Thing by Gary Keller (for the third time) and have been inspired to get very honest with myself to figure out what my true priorities are so I can be more productive.
- What is the ONE THING I can accomplish TODAY that will have the MOST significance in my online business?
- What is the ONE THING I can accomplish THIS WEEK that will have the MOST significance in my online business?
- What is the ONE THING I can accomplish THIS MONTH that will have the MOST significance in my online business?
I promise that if you ask yourself these questions (and write down the answers), you'll find yourself giving your undivided attention to the strategies and tactics that ARE important, versus the things you THINK are important.
Let's work on the ONE THING together!
